19 July additions

We've added three new pages to help you identify false orbs in your ghost photos:

Bugs and false 'ghost orbs' won't confuse anyone who knows what to look for. However, many websites that pretend that trails of reflected light from an insect are a "vortex."

Fake orbs and pollen are easy to tell apart as well. A recent National Geographic show tried to debunk real ghost photos and videos by claiming that they were caused by dust or pollen. As you can see from this study, no experienced ghost researcher is likely to confuse the two.

Our report on False 'ghost orbs' and hair show two photos that excited us a lot... until, a few minutes later, we realized the truth.

Also, a New Orleans historian has confirmed that the house we described as Marie Laveau's house probably isn't one that she lived in. However, two other historians suggest that it was. We're leaving the description as it is, but want you to know that Marie Laveau may not have lived there. (Of course, the house may still be haunted, but by someone else.)

15 July additions

This week, we took advantage of tropical downpours in Houston. Our photo shows what false orbs look like when pictures are taken during the heaviest possible rainstorm: False 'ghost orbs' and Heavy Rain.

Also, we'll be investigating more ghosts in New Orleans during four days later in July. We'll have new photos and (we hope) new ghost encounters to report.

8 July additions

In the past week, we've added two new pages:

New Orleans - Orbs on Gov. Nicholls St. This is one of several orb-filled photos taken at a "not haunted" house in New Orleans' French Quarter.

Angel or Ghost? While we were documenting the effects of smoke in "ghost photos," an odd shape appeared in one picture. It's an unusual figure in a photo that was supposed to be... well, just smoke.
