Close-up of Grisly Basement Room

space clearing a haunted house

This is a closeup photo, slightly different from the one on Space Clearing a Haunted House.

The room had been boarded shut years ago, with hardwood planks hammered randomly across it.

At some point since then, many of the boards were removed. Today, the doorway is protected by spiders who've woven thick webs across the entry.

The sense of evil and violence was already apparent, before we even looked into the room.

However, the hacksaw, the reddish stain on the wall, and the obvious splatters to the left of it add to the grisly impression. The red piece of hose seems almost an afterthought.

We cleared the energy in this room as much as we could, but frankly, space clearing can only do so much in an actual haunting.

If I lived there, I'd sow salt around the perimeter of the room, and seal it up again with boards or even a good cement wall.
