  • Fun, Ghostly and/or Gothic-related links

Perhaps it's my strange humor, or attitudes towards ghostly matters, but these links strike me funny or fascinating, or both:

(Before surfing, see Warning at foot of this page.)

    • Gothic Martha Stewart, "DIY home decor for the morbidly inclined." Being somewhere between AntiquityGoth and HippyGoth myself, I lean towards Fairy Gothic decor.

    • Something Wicked..., Gothic gardening

    • Gothic fashions - more than a fad:

      • For Gothic fashion and costuming, there's alt.gothic.fashion and others (search on Google).

      • Or check out the pattern reviews at Trystan's Goth-ish patterns.

      • Along the same lines, Six Feet Under features great sewing ideas and DIY pattern instructions.

      • Goth Style offers a good "look" overview for beginners.

      • If you're shopping for vintage and Gothic fashion items, be sure to check the eBay Gothic Webring for the fastest links to cool items.

      • And if you're in the business world, here are some Corporate Gothic fashion tips.

      • Abracadaver's GlitterGoth 101 focuses on makeup. Like how to apply clown white evenly.

      • The Official Wicked Hair Dyeing Page has strong language from the first page. However, her haircoloring information is very helpful if you're going for blue hair.

    • Gothic humor (is that an oxymoron? *grin*):

    • For Edward Gorey fans:

      • Goreyography, for fans of Mystery! artist, Edward Gorey.

      • Gorey fans/webmasters may also like the Gorey-like fonts at nonDairy Fonts. Not the usual blood-and-guts stuff.

      • Or leap into Sirius' page of Gorey links.

      • And, only a totally-over-the-edge Gorey fan will understand this link: The Wombat Home Page. Really. It's about wombats, sort of. *grin* (The music is very corny, too.)

    • If you're a multimedia-toy "thing" collector, here are several pages of Gothic things. (You'll need the free software, first, if you're new to "things." And, no, I don't fully understand them either.)

    • You want Goth? You got it: The Gothic Preservation Society, an online zine with macabre articles and unsettling humor.

    • Scholars and can't-get-enough-Goth folks will enjoy the academic site, Gothic Literature Page, linking Gothic and Romantic eras.

Warning: Gothic sites sometimes have startling language, imagery, and/or humor. You may encounter the f-word and Pagan references, among other things.

Unless otherwise noted, we've only listed sites that are fine among their opening pages, but we cannot possibly scan through every page at every site to check links and language.

Parents should check sites thoroughly before letting kids surf anyway; with Gothic pages, this is especially important.
