After months of research and writing, my "few days off" after completing the Austin book... well, they turned into two weeks, and I'm still a little toasted but getting back to ghost research, and updating the website. If you're in the Houston area, join the Texas Paranormal Researchers (a Meetup.com group) for a free workshop in making and using dowsing L-rods. We'll meet at Bear Creek Park on Saturday, October 14th at about 4 p.m. Bring two coat hangers and a pair of wire cutters of some kind. Optional, but recommended: safety glasses or goggles, and needlenose pliers (which may also include a wire cutter... many do). First, we'll make dowsing rods and experiment with them. I'll have a couple of professional dowsing rods with me, so that you can see how the heavier, more sensitive rods work. Then, we'll go to nearby haunted Patterson Road and test the rods around areas that have elevated EMF levels and an abundance of paranormal phenomena. See the Texas Paranormal Researchers Meetup.com page for more info. Also in October, I'll be doing book readings, answering questions, and signing copies of Weird Hauntings. On October 28th, I'll be at the Barnes & Noble in Humble, Texas. On the 30th, I'll be at the B&N on Westheimer at Voss, in Houston, Texas. Stop by and say hello!
