20 May 06 - Ten new 'ghost stories'

It's been a few weeks since we've had time to update these headlines. But, there are many interesting ghost-related stories in the news. Here are some of the best, including three haunted homes that are--or soon will be--for sale.

14 May - Spirited goings-on in Scottish pub - Santa Cruz Sentinel, CA
White Cockade Scottish Pub at Boulder Creek features several real ghosts and a colorful history.

14 May - Clovis haunted house to be turned into hotel - ABC30.com, CA
Haunted house, recently featured on Scream if you can tours, will become a hotel. In the meantime--as of late May 06--the Clovis City Council has closed it down.

11 May - 'Haunted' house on market for 330k - Leyland Today, UK
You can buy Charnock Old Hall, complete with disputed ghost stories, possibly some hidden tunnels, and a secret passage to the attic. 14th century home may be the oldest in Leyland.

9 May - Team goes where g-g-ghosts may reside - Des Moines Register, IA
Interview with Natalie Boswell of Des Moines Iowa Extreme Paranormal Advanced Research Team.

6 May - Is the Beckhams' house haunted? - Daily Mail, UK
The Beckhams' vacation house, Domaine Saint-Vincent in Var-Provence, France, features a colorful history and active ghosts. The house will be sold because, "Victoria's seriously spooked" by the ghosts.

6 May - Ghosts dead against toll road - Sydney Morning Herald, AU
Report about Pocahontas Parkway in Richmond, VA. Described as "perhaps the most haunted toll road in the US, even the world".

5 May - Gateway house where Andrews couple killed is up for sale - Naples News, FL
If you're looking for a future 'Amityville Horror' location, this home sounds likely.

26 Apr - Ghost that came out of the closet - Yorkshire Post, UK
Profoundly haunted pub in Barnsley, the Low Valley Arms (formerly the Watt Tyler), features full figures of ghosts, toilets that flush themselves, and far more. (Thanks to reader David L. for this report.)

26 Apr - Did Ghost Hunters Find 'Grey Lady'? - WFIE, Evansville, IN
Update about Willard Library's investigation by TAPS for the Ghost Hunters TV show. As usual, they were able to explain almost everything that they encountered, including a mist in the library and footsteps, and they 'debunked' past ghost photos as well.
