These are some of our favorite odd photos. Some people see the ghost images in them, but others don't.

For example, in the 'ghost photo' above, some people see the light, almost glowing image of a grinning skull on the left side of the picture. That's an early morning photo taken at the Texas Governors Mansion. At least three ghosts haunt that mansion in downtown Austin.

Ghosts - Either you see these... or you don't

face in the window, portsmouth, nh The man in the window almost fills the window frame. He's looking to the right, and he's wearing dark, round glasses. He's a shoemaker from the late 19th century. He and his brother owned this Victorian home near downtown Portsmouth.
ghostly figure in the window Girl and... what?, in the window. This photo was sent by a friend, Annie. We can see at least two different faces in this picture from NH. One is the small dark-haired figure at the lower left corner of the window. To her right, you may see a more sinister image.
concord gravestone with eyes Eyes watch you from a haunted headstone in Concord, MA. The photo at left is artistically enhanced, but the original has the same eyes. They're lower in contrast... and just as creepy.
angel figure in smoke Angel or Ghost? We were experimenting with smoke to see if it could look like ectoplasm. After we took a few pictures, we noticed this strange anomaly in one of them.
texas governors mansion, austin, tx Texas Governor's Mansion Do you see anything odd in this picture? We deliberately moved the camera slightly as we were taking the picture. We're trying to see if ghosts will use blurry images to reveal anything to us, the way that white noise can enhance EVP. In this picture, we can see several very strange images.

Just plain odd

beam of light from sky? Beam of light from the sky, Nashua, NH. It was entirely dark when we took this photo. We didn't see this column of light until the pictures were developed and printed.
mist appears in a sunny cemetery Unearthly mist - Blood Cemetery, Hollis, NH. Unexplained mist (only in the photo) on a brilliantly sunny day. Was this ectoplasm?
glow above leaves at Gilson Road cemetery grave Glow above cemetery leaves at Gilson Road Cemetery. There could be a reasonable explanation for this. We're still looking for one that fits the photo conditions and setting.

Orb photos

correjoles house in new orleans New Orleans - Orbs on Gov. Nicholls St., April 2005 photo revealed surprising orbs over a 'not haunted' house.
schoolhouse cemetery nashua, nh Milky round orb - Schoolhouse Cemetery, Nashua, NH. This is a very clear orb which appeared in a photo taken Halloween night, 1999. We had the photo and the film negative professionally analyzed, and there is no 'normal' explanation for this anomaly.

Other eerie pictures

Walter Gilson's headstone Odd hole in a NH gravestone, at Gilson Road Cemetery in Nashua. We've analyzed this stone and considered every possible explanation. Nothing makes sense. It's unlikely that parents would place a damaged headstone over their young son's grave. So, this probably happened later... but what was it? Nobody shot this stone from the road. (The hole is smooth and it doesn't start from the road side of the cemetery.)
